'Mortal Kombat Rebirth' Clip

Speculation has run rampant today with the debut of a short "Mortal Kombat" film (subtitled "Rebirth") that made its way anonymously to YouTube. Now, Latino Review reports that the film is, as many theorized, a test for a potential R-rated film reboot of the video game franchise.

The short is directed by Kevin Tancharoen, the director of last year's Fame, and features a cast that includes name actors like Michael Jai White (Jax), Jeri Ryan (Sonya Blade), Matt Mullins (Johnny Cage), Lateef Crowder (Baraka) and Ian Anthony Dale (Scorpion) with fight choreography by Larnell Stovall.

Though there is no guarantee that these actors will play the characters in a feature film version or even that a feature film will actually happen, the short is already a huge success online, with the word "Kombat" already a trending topic on Twitter.

'The Crow' Reboot Is Coming

With director Stephen Norrington's reboot of "The Crow" reported to begin shooting soon, it's about time we heard some details from someone involved with the project, isn't it? Look no further, "Crow" fans — Edward Pressman, who produced the previous "Crow" installments, offered up plenty of new information on the developing film in an interview with MTV Movies Blog editor Adam Rosenberg.

According to Pressman, Norrington's screenplay is finished and, apparently, "terrific." After collaborating on some illustrations with "Avatar" production designer Rob Stromberg — illustrations that are "quite different from Alex Proyas' approach with the original 'Crow,'" Pressman said — Norrington's vision is inching much closer to reality, with casting announcements on the way and filming beginning this year.

"[We've got an offer out] to a major actor and things are moving ahead very aggressively, with the aim of doing the film this year," Pressman told MTV News.

Pressman revealed that the film's setting will diverge from the original vision of "The Crow," although it will still draw from the gritty city elements of the Brandon Lee-starring film.

"The setting is the southwest — the Mexico/Arizona area — and an urban [setting], Detroit or Pittsburgh or something like that," he described. "There are two locations that the film is set. Its initial platform is in the southwest and then it moves to the big city in the north, middle or eastern America, and then back."

That sandwich of settings is part of what distinguishes this "Crow" from previous visions, as is Norrington's treatment of the "Crow" mythology. "The Crow itself is a creature in this movie — it's not just a bird," said the producer. "It's got a personality and a character. Not like Godzilla exactly, but it's very different [and has] a more active role in the story."

If nothing else, Norrington's vision of "The Crow" is different from what fans are used to.

"Obviously it's a different time and a different idea, but I think Stephen is a very talented fellow and I'm very excited to work with him," said Pressman. "I think it's a very different conception [than the original film]. After the first 'Crow,' there were so many other films that were inspired by it, by its look. Steve is an artist himself, and he's created a very different visual idea."

Moved up to my top 5 on most anticipated list. As you know, I can't get enough of apocalyptic movies. This one is directed by Xavier Gens who directed one of my favorite horror flicks, the disturbing french horror movie 'Frontier(s)'.

Plot:
The films include a post-apocalyptic thriller set mostly in an apartment building fallout shelter, a serial-killer thriller about a woman afflicted with "face blindness" and a coming-of-age story about a young girl seeking out her birth mother.

German's character is at the center of the film, set in New York, which is virtually destroyed in a mysterious explosion in the first act. Eight survivors take refuge in the fallout shelter of an apartment building, where they are menaced first by mysterious men in HazMat suits and eventually by each other.

A lot of the 2011 summer tentpole releases have already been announced as being either filmed in 3D or converted afterwards, but so far, May 2011 has been somewhat devoid of 3D release announcements... until now!

Walt Disney Pictures has announced that the fourth installment of Jerry Bruckheimer's popular action franchise Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, directed by Rob Marshall, will be filmed in Disney Digital 3D. Bruckheimer's only previous 3D movie before that was last year's G-Force.

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides is still slated for release on May 20, 2011.

Eddie Murphy Writing Third 'Nutty Professor'

Entertainment show Access Hollywood caught up with actor Eddie Murphy at the premiere of his new movie Shrek Forever After and learned that the actor has been developing ideas for a potential third "The Nutty Professor" movie, confirming a story from a few years back.

There's no word whether Universal may have any interest in doing another movie, but according to Murphy, it will depend on whether they find his ideas funny. With The Nutty Professor grossing $273 million worldwide in 1996, and its sequel Nutty Professor II: The Klumps grossing $161 million four years later, a third movie certainly has potential similar to Universal's "Meet the Parents" comedy franchise.

Whether a third movie gets a greenlight may also depend on whether Universal sees Murphy as a bankable comedy star, being that his last two comedies, Meet Dave and Imagine That, bombed, and Murphy's new DreamWorks movie A Thousand Words, his third movie with Norbit director Brian Robbins, has yet to be given a U.S. release date despite having been finished since last October. That movie may just be caught up in the transition of distribution companies from Paramount to Disney, though countries like Argentina, Sweden, Germany and The Netherlands have already booked the movie in early 2011, over a year after its completion.

Earlier this month, Megan Fox was spotted doing previz shots for Transformers 3, but now Variety is reporting that she will not appear as Mikaela in the third installment after all.

Paramount Pictures reportedly decided not to pick up her option as the studio and director Michael Bay want to take the story line in another direction and plan to cast another actress as the love interest for Sam Witwicky, played by Shia LaBeouf. The trade says the decision "was unrelated to a September interview with a British magazine in which Fox compared Bay with Adolf Hitler."

The third installment is scheduled to hit theaters on July 1, 2011.

Seriously, who can I punch? Looking around my room I'm trying to figure out where exactly I can place a punching bag - because right now I need something to pound, and my pillow just isn't going to do. Right out of this year's despicable and disheartening Cannes it was revealed that Japanese studio Toei is preparing a 3D conversion of Kinji Fukasaku's cult action thriller Battle Royale, which is one of the widest selling movies ever from Japan. Fukasaku's son, Kenta Fukasaku, is supervising the 2D to 3D conversion in Tokyo through this production company Fukasaku-Gumi. Kinji Fukasaku passed away in 2003 and is sure to be rolling over and over again in his grave. In case you want to see it: the 3D version of the original will be ready for market screenings in October and released in Japan on November 20. Like the original, the 3D version will have an R-15 rating in Japan. MUST. PUNCH. WALL.

'Avatar' Sequel to be Announced Soon

Talking about 3D at a technology forum in Seoul, South Korea, James Cameron said that he estimates it will take about three years to make the Avatar sequel. That's 18 months less than it took the first.

He said that the release date for the follow-up will be announced in a few months.

Cameron previously revealed that the sequel would focus on Pandora's ocean. "I'm going to be focusing on the ocean on Pandora, which will be equally rich and diverse and crazy and imaginative, but it just won't be a rain forest. I'm not saying we won't see what we've already seen; we'll see more of that as well," he said.

The first film has earned a massive $2.718 billion worldwide and has sold more than 19.7 million DVD and Blu-ray discs in three weeks.

LaBeouf Says 'Transformers 3' Will be Better

Shia LeBeouf told The Associated Press that Transformers 3 "brings the heart back to the franchise." He starts working on the third installment on Tuesday.

The new script restores a human element that got lost in the second movie, LaBeouf said. "When I saw the second movie, I wasn't impressed with what we did," LaBeouf said at the Cannes Film Festival. "There were some really wild stunts in it, but the heart was gone."

In related news, actress/comedienne Kym Whitley talked more about her role to BV on Movies.

"I usually don't like mentioning that I am working on 'Transformers' because I was also in 'Transformers 2' and I got cut out," she said. "So I try not to get excited about working on the project until I see the final edit, because you never know what's going to happen."

She added that "The real excitement about working on the film just comes from working with [director] Michael Bay. He writes these parts for me and just lets me roll with it. You can't beat that. It's kind of like working with Larry David, when I did 'Curb Your Enthusiasm.' Michael Bay works fast though. He laughs a lot, too. You rarely get someone to just tell you to go ahead and do your thing. That's the beauty of working with him."

Columbia Pictures Announces 'Men in Black III' in 3D

Columbia Pictures announced today that Men in Black III will be released in 3D on May 25, 2012. Walter F. Parkes and Laurie MacDonald are returning to produce and Barry Sonnenfeld, who directed the first two installments of the blockbuster franchise, will direct the film from a screenplay written by Etan Cohen, based on the comic book by Lowell Cunningham. Steven Spielberg is set to executive produce.

Deals are set for Will Smith, Sonnenfeld and the producing team to return to the blockbuster franchise with the intent to begin production by this fall and the studio is in advanced negotiations with Tommy Lee Jones to reprise his role as Agent Kay. Josh Brolin is also in talks to star as a young Agent Kay.

Commenting on the announcement, Jeff Blake, Chairman of Sony Pictures Worldwide Marketing and Distribution said, "Sony's summer of 2012 will get off to a red hot start with an incredible new 3D adventure for the Men in Black. We couldn't be more excited that the original filmmaking team responsible for the first two worldwide hits is reuniting for this third installment. We love where the story is taking Agents Jay and Kay and know this new chapter will deliver a fresh fun twist for fans of the franchise while also introducing the Men in Black to a whole new generation of moviegoers."

Movie News Bruckheimer Confirms Development on 'Bad Boys 3'

In the past few months, there's been quite a bit of chatter about Will Smith returning to some of his most famous franchises as they receive the threequel treatment. In fact, just this week it was confirmed that Smith would start shooting Men in Black III with Tommy Lee Jones this fall for a summer 2012 release date.

There's also been talk in the past year about Sony reuniting Smith with Martin Lawrence and Michael Bay for Bad Boys 3 with a screenwriter having been hired last summer, though it seemed somewhat dubious even last month when Lawrence confirmed to MTV that the project was "real."

At the UK junket for Prince of Persia: the Sands of Time, ComingSoon.net asked the Big Kahuna, producer Jerry Bruckheimer, if there was a possibility we'd see him, Michael Bay and Smith working together for the first time since Bad Boys 2 back in 2003, presumably once Bay and Smith finish their current threequels, Transformers 3 and Men in Black III, respectively.

The producer was more prudent with his choice of words on the project than Lawrence, saying, "It's a wish and a hope and a dream. We've been working on a screenplay, which is excellent. It's an idea Will gave us, so hopefully, it will come to fruition, we would love it to."

Being that the first Bad Boys was the big breakthrough movie for Bay, Smith and Lawrence 15 years ago--seems like longer, doesn't it?--it certainly would be interesting to see them do a third movie maybe with some of the modern edge they've seen since been exploring.

In the meantime, Bruckheimer's own summer slate is full with Prince of Persia: the Sands of Time out on May 28 and The Sorcerer's Apprentice out on July 16. You'll be able to read a lot more on both those movies right here on ComignSoon.net.

Twitch has discovered a couple photos on Flick of a design model for Godzilla. Could this be the creature’s new look for the new American Remake? The author WoGzilla left the following accompanying comment with one of the images:

“great detail :) I was told by a good friend in the movie biz. that this was one of the design’s they were considering for the new 3D Godzila….! if you have new info on this movie, i would like to post it . thanks :)”

What do you think? Could this be real? How about the design of Godzilla?

I personally love it. I hope it is more than just fan art, but chances are it isn’t real. The big reason is that it has been online all day, and Warner Bros/Legendary Pictures could have had them removed in minutes. Either way, I think it’s cool enough to feature on the site and speculate what a new darker American remake of Godzilla might look like.

Spielberg & JJ Abrams Collaborate on `Super 8'

LOS ANGELES – Steven Spielberg and J.J. Abrams are collaborating on a hush-hush project — and "Iron Man 2" audiences are getting the first look at it.

A Paramount spokeswoman says a teaser trailer for "Super 8" will debut before midnight Friday screenings of "Iron Man 2."

Abrams, whose films include "Star Trek," wrote the screenplay for "Super 8" and will direct. Spielberg is producing.

Like "Cloverfield," the 2008 hit produced by Abrams, details about "Super 8" are being kept secret. Paramount spokeswoman Katie Martin Kelley would only say that "Super 8" is not a sequel to "Cloverfield" and that the movie is inspired by films Abrams "loved and admired as a teenager."

"Super 8" is due in theaters in summer 2011.

Friday the 13th Sequel is Now Officially 'Dead'

Right out of left field comes some disappointing news for all you Jason Vorhees fans. Bloody-Disgusting had their attention called to an exchange on Twitter between a fellow movie lover and Platinum Dunes producer Brad Fuller. When asked how the Friday the 13th sequel was coming along, Fuller simply said: "It is dead - not happening." Eager to follow-up on this surprising news, Bloody Disgusting contacted Fuller who confirmed, "Right now there is no movement on Friday 13th: Part 2." Some shocking news for a film that was supposed to be released in August this year, but now appears to be dead in the waters of Crystal Lake.

The sequel to the '09 Friday the 13th remake penned by Damian Shannon and Mark Swift was going to be shot in 3D and feature the return of Derek Mears as the new Jason Voorhees, but now who knows if we'll ever see a follow-up. Fuller followed up on Twitter that explaining the dead stop is a "long story" and: "It's not my call. I would drop everything and make it today if they wanted it." Halt on this production definitely seems strange considering the movie made $91 million worldwide on a $19 million budget, not to mention, Platinum Dunes other upcoming remake of Nightmare on Elm Street seems to be tracking very well so far.

As someone who isn't the biggest a fan of the horror genre, I actually had a really good time with the Friday the 13th remake and its horror cliches, but most of all, that 20 minute opening slasher sequence before the titles. Hopefully this sequel somehow gets back on track sooner than later. Anyone else disappointed?

Samuel Bayer Refused To Convert A NightMare on Elm Street to 3D

While a lot of filmmakers are jumping at the opportunity to convert their films into 3D, Samuel Bayer, the director of Platinum Dunes’ remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street, fought against the idea.

When New Line initiated several conversations about converting “A Nightmare on Elm Street” to 3-D, “we pushed back,” says director Samuel Bayer. “This was shot in 2-D and was meant to be shown in 2-D.” He added, “Just like I don’t want to see a lot of great movies remade” — alluding to the other Hollywood vogue — “I don’t want to see a lot of them in 3-D.”

Of course, having Michael Bay in your corner as a producer probably helped Bayer’s fight against the studio. Bay has been vocal in his dislike for post-3D conversion. The Last Airbender is Also Being Converted into 3D

arned that Paramount Pictures is jumping on the post-conversion 3D scam bandwaggon with M. Night Shyamalan-directed The Last Airbender. I had a feeling this was coming as producer Frank Marshall filed the following tweets earlier this month:

Looking at 3-D test… Looking at 3-D for various projects, I think it’s here to stay, but not right for all movies… So far, feels like it’s better to shoot in 3-D rather than convert….

Looking at other 3-D companies today, maybe even 3-D TV?

After several 3-D tests, I believe you can do a good conversion. Key is don’t treat it as a technical process, but involve the filmmakers.

So it appears that Marshall, Paramount and Shyamalan were able to find a company that could turn a better product that the Clash of the Titans conversion, which yes, was awful. As Flemming notes, Shyamalan is also notoriously “particular about his movies, so he must be sold on the conversion process.” Apparently they are using Stereo D, the company that worked on James Cameron’s Avatar.

I’m still not convinced that 3D conversion is worth it for newer films, but I also have not seen too many releases.Nightmare Before Christmas looks fine, as did the 3D upconversion footage I’ve seen from Beauty and the Beast, but it seems the 3D conversion looks a lot better with objects and animated creations than it does with live action. I was never impressed with the Harry Potter IMAX 3D converted segments. It always looked like cardboard cut-outs. Clash of the Titans was rushed in 6-8 weeks, outsourced, but Paramount feels they have enough time to convert Airbender and still meet the July 2nd release date.

We've been hearing rumors that both Cary Elwes and Monica Potter would be returning in Lionsgate's Saw 3D - the seventh film in the franchise - but haven't been able to get any surefire confirmation. This evening Lionsgate released the "revealed" cast listing, which confirms that Elwes will in fact be returning as Dr. Lawrence Gordon in the Kevin Greutert directed sequel penned once again by Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton. Still no word on if Potter will return as Alison Gordon, but below we've got the rest of the cast and the official synopsis. Saw VII 3D opens against Paranormal Activity 2 on October 22.

Barry Sonnenfeld Confirms Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones For 'Men in Black 3D'

Straight from director Barry Sonnenfeld comes news that Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones are set to return for a third Men in Black picture and, in a move which will surprise precisely no-one, Sony will be releasing it in 3D.

The official line seems to be that while Smith and Jones have both agreed to reprise their Men in Black roles, only Smith has formally signed. I imagine that the studio will be very keen to get this one moving swiftly, and if they do so, the immediate casualty is likely to be The City That Sailed. Back in March, Peter reported on how Smith had come to a fork in the road, Men in Black in one direction, City in the other.

We still don’t know for sure which film Smith is going to tackle first, but it’s looking like Men to me. At least today it is.

Sonnenfeld’s comments come courtesy of the Showbiz 411 blog. The news that Jones is on board is probably the big surprise - lots of folks had been expecting him to pass, I believe. There was even a rumour going around that the film would - POTENTIAL SPOILER ALERT! - feature a time travel scenario which would team a present-day J with a younger Agent K, possibly played by Josh Brolin.

Of course, maybe that’s all true and they still have space for the Jones-aged K in the plot somewhere. Or maybe it wasn’t true at all.

Other casting rumours suggest that Sasha Baron Cohen and Jemaine Clement have been competing for a role, which I speculated would be that of an alien simply on the basis of having seen these guys’ faces. There’s been a certain style of actor cast as undercover aliens in the Men in Black films so far, and both Cohen and Clement seem to fit the bill rather well.

My Nightmare on Elm Street Rankings

With the "re-imaging' coming out next week, I figured I'd give my rankings for the Nightmare series. If I ruffle feathers, good.

1. Nightmare on Elm Street

One of the scariest movies I have ever seen and one of the most sinister villains to ever grace the big screen. It was trend setting, monumental, original, and timeless. This movie might be one of the best horror movie ever made. I know there is a remake coming out next week, and though it may be good, I can guarantee it isn't as good as this movie. If the Academy Awards recognized horror movies, then Robert Englund would've gotten an Oscar nod. Wes Craven has never been on top of his game like he was in this film. Matter of fact, I just watched it yesterday on blu-ray and I recommend you go purchase it now!

2. Wes Craven's New Nightmare

The last and arguably greatest sequel of the series is the most original. It's about the real life actors of the Nightmare movies REALLY being stalked by Freddy. Wes Craven returns as director and you can tell. The movie has quality. Freddy never looked scarier than what he did in this film (except for that trench coat). Heather Langenkamp returns as...Heather Langenkamp. I always felt like she was the driving force of the Nightmare movies and it was refreshing to see her reprising her role. I liked New Nightmare a lot and I don't think it gets the credit it deserves.

3. Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors

The second best of the sequels (which isn't saying much). This movie wasn't bad at all. I loved how each kid Freddy was stalking had their own powers. It was a refreshing twist to see the kids use Freddy's powers against him. But unfortunately, this is the film that started turning Freddy into what I call the comedian Freddy Dangerfield. It's not predominant like it is in the later films, but the trend starts here and with the exception of 'New Nightmare', I consider this to be Freddy's last film and don't really acknowledge the others.

4. Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge

I remember as a kid being excited as hell to go see this in the theaters. The whole family got together and we all drove 50 miles away to see it. We went in pumped. We left damn near in tears. It was awful. I saw part 2 a few months ago on TV, and it looks even worse now. The movie is weird and has lots of homosexual undertones. The S&M gym teacher, Jesse always running away and dismissing advances from the female lead, etc. Many think the movie is all about a homosexual boy "coming out" and coping with his sexuality. Regardless, it sucks. The only saving grace of this movie is that Freddy is still a horror icon and has yet to be turned in to a comedian.

DISCLAIMER: NOW FORGIVE ME BECAUSE I HAVENT SEEN THE REST OF THESE MOVIES IN YEARS. SO THEY ALL BLUR TOGETHER TO ME. I WILL TRY MY HARDEST TO DIFFERENTIATE THEM EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE COMPLETE TURDS.

5. A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master

Freddy becomes more funny and corny. In this one we are treated to a person turning into a cockroach and Freddy eating a pizza with screaming meatballs. I'm not making this up. We are introduced to some random ass character named Alice. Every one from all the previous sequels are dead. So what does the movie offer? I have no clue. That's why I only watched it once.

6. A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child

A movie that has flaming dog urine? Check. Can't remember much about this movie. I remember Freddy Dangerfield being an annoying asshole with his cheesy, unfunny one-liners. He has completely lost any sense of being scary and at this point I don't think the movie studio is even trying. Showing up as Super Freddy in the comic book dream sequence pretty much sums this movie up. On a side note, The Dream Child stars the ugliest kid ever put to film, Whit Herford. Man that kid is ugly. He looks like a goth kid with down syndrome.

7. Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare

Freddy Dangerfield is in full blown stand-up mode in this one. He should have a spotlight on him the entire movie. This sequel had so many queer-ass parts I don't know where to begin. The Nintendo Freddy Power Glove? "Now I have power!" A ridiculous 3-D ending that is hands down the worst 3-D ever put to film? Demon worms that give Freddy his power? The main character getting killed halfway through the movie? Appearances by Rosanne Barr and Tom Arnold? But after all of these silly and retarded examples, the one that stands out to me the most is, after all these movies and all the power displayed by Freddy, he dies by........getting blown up by a pipe bomb. Yes go ahead and re-read that. A pipe bomb. That's how they do it? That's how they treat the fans who have followed Freddy through his rise from sadistic child murderer to cornball comedian. A pipe bomb. Freddy's Dead? Thank God.

'Machete' In Theaters September

I've been looking forward to this since Grindhouse. Danny Trejo is going to be a household name after this flick. And by the way, the poster might be the coolest one of 2010.

20th Century Fox has set a September 3 release date for Robert Rodriguez and Ethan Maniquis' Machete, starring Danny Trejo, Jessica Alba, Robert De Niro, Michelle Rodriguez, Lindsay Lohan, Cheech Marin, Jeff Fahey, Don Johnson and Steven Seagal. Labor Day falls on Monday, Sept. 6, which gives the movie a four-day opening weekend.

Focus Features is releasing Anton Corbijn's suspense thriller The American (view a new photo), starring George Clooney, a couple of days earlier on Wednesday, Sept. 1.

Columbia Pictures also has the Tom Brady comedy Born to Be a Star, with Christina Ricci, scheduled for a release on Sept. 3.

Machete is based on the "fake" trailer in Robert Rodriguez's 2007 Grindhouse. The feature version of the trailer finds Machete (Trejo) a renegade former Mexican Federale, roaming the streets of Texas after a shakedown from drug lord Torrez (Seagal). Reluctantly, Machete takes an offer from spin doctor Benz (Fahey) to assassinate McLaughlin (De Niro) a corrupt Senator. Double crossed and on the run Machete braves the odds with the help of Luz (Michelle Rodriguez), a saucy taco slinger, Padre (Marin) his "holy" brother, and April (Lohan) a socialite with a penchant for guns. All while being tracked by Sartana (Alba), a sexy ICE agent with a special interest in the blade slinger.

'Hobo with a Shotgun' Feature in the Works

Ain't It Cool News reports that a feature version of "Hobo with a Shotgun" is in the works. "Hobo with a Shotgun" was a fake trailer that was shown with some screenings of 2007 release Grindhouse.

The clip was created by Dartmouth, Nova Scotia filmmakers Jason Eisener, John Davies, and Rob Cotterill, and starred David Brunt in the title role.

The site says that filming will start in Halifax on Monday and while Brunt is not returning, Eisener has cast Dutch actor Rutger Hauer in the role.

'Star Wars' Movies Coming to Blu-ray

Lucasfilm Director of Fan Relations Steve Sansweet revealed at the Chicago Comics and Entertainment Expo (C2E2) this weekend that the "Star Wars" films are coming to Blu-ray.

"We have been at work for a couple of years working on - I won't call it the Ultimate Set because we keep finding stuff - but, a very full set of all six movies on Blu-ray with lots of extra material," Sansweet told IGN. "We're finding all kinds of scenes from dailies that have never been seen before. Beyond all of those things that you know about… there are some real treasures."

While he wouldn't reveal when they will be released, he said "it won't be in the too distant future."

IGN said that Sansweet also addressed the reports that the "Star Wars" movies will be coming back to theaters in 3D.

'The Dark Knight' Producer Compares Chris Nolan Rebooting Superman To 'Star Trek: The Wrath Of Khan'

One of the many creators I had a chance to chat with during last weekend's C2E2 convention in Chicago was comic creator and film producer Michael Uslan, executive producer on just about every Batman project to ever hit the big (or small) screen — including 2008's record-breaking blockbuster "The Dark Knight."

While Uslan said he had "nothing to share" regarding regarding the much-anticipated third film in director Christopher Nolan's Batman franchise, he did offer up some thoughts on the news that Nolan will shepherd a reboot of the Superman movie universe. Comparing Superman's big-screen future to the second film in the "Star Trek" franchise (considered a vast improvement on its predecessor), Uslan said he has high hopes for the filmmaker's take on the Man of Steel.

"I think there are great things happening in the DC universe," said Uslan when asked about Nolan taking over the Superman movies.

"I remember when 'Star Trek' first came out as a big motion picture," he said. "I couldn't wait for that big motion picture that was one of the most expensive films ever made at the time. But I was bored to death during the movie. They spent so much money, and excuse the pun, but it was like an alien experience compared to the 'Star Trek' I knew and loved."

"And then they came back," he continued. "They figured out what went awry, and they came back with 'The Wrath of Khan.' It was a kick-ass movie that brought back a villain from the show, it was action-packed, and it was something that the guys could all really get into. For those who haven't been following along at home, Nolan's appointment as the new guardian of Superman's movie future was first announced back in February, with his "Dark Knight" co-writer David Goyer later confirmed to author a new film rebooting the Man of Steel's universe.

Little is known about the project beyond that, however — with rumors circulating about the everything from the film's villains to whether it will even be a true reboot of the character's origin.

Nevertheless, Uslan said he's looking forward to Superman getting a brand new start under the "Dark Knight" director.

Don't know about Whedon directing the Avengers movie. Would've much rather seen Christopher Nolan directing. I dug Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but as far as I'm concerned, that's all he's done. The only movie he's directed was 'Serenity' and that was a turd. He wrote 'Alien Resurrection' so for that alone he shouldn't be allowed in Hollywood at all.

BEVERLY HILLS, California — Marvel has big plans for moviegoers in the next couple of years, and nearly all of them share one thing in common: A bald, sneering, eye-patch-wearing spy named Nick Fury. "Iron Man" fans who stuck around after the closing credits saw Samuel L. Jackson make Tony Stark an offer he couldn't refuse. Jackson returns in the role for next month's sequel, and he has signed on to play Fury in as many as nine films.

So, when we caught up with Sam the man recently, we had to ask for his take on the latest round of big Marvel announcements. Addressing the rumor that Joss Whedon will direct "The Avengers," Jackson said that, to his knowledge, the deal was done. "They signed him, didn't they? I thought I actually saw something the other day that said he was in."

Assuming that the "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" mastermind will be charged with assembling Iron Man, Hulk, Thor and the other comic book superheroes, Jackson said he was pleased with Whedon's appointment.

"I think it's fine," said Jackson, who added that he expects Fury to see some action and even "shoot somebody" by the time the Whedon-helmed "Avengers" movie wraps. "They seem to be making great choices and trying to make all of these films work.

"I'm looking forward to connecting with [Whedon] sometime," Jackson said. "I guess that's, like, next February," he said of the anticipated filming start date.

Shortly before the Whedon revelation, news broke that Chris Evans, a star of the "Fantastic Four" franchise, would get superheroic once again, this time as Captain America. Although Evans isn't sure if his Cap will be the "boss" of the Avengers, he will answer to Nick Fury, who gave the newest member of the superhero team a thumbs-up.

"[Evans] is the right guy, not a problem," Jackson said of his newly named co-star. "[Marvel] seems to be making great steps in the right direction to make all of these films happen in the right way. I'm looking forward to going to London and meeting Captain America."

I love both Bad Boys movies so I'm all for this. I think part 2 is an underrated movie, period. It definitely doesn't get the credit it deserves. Hopefully 3 will live up to the expectations set by the first two.

Eight years later, the men returned triumphant for "Bad Boys II," an explosive sequel that felt like a coronation of three Hollywood superstars. Now, after another seven years, Lawrence said the "Boys" are back in town — and that talk of another sequel is very real.

"It's real realistic," the comedian revealed to MTV News recently, addressing rumors that he'll re-team with Bay and the former Fresh Prince once again. "We've talked about 'Bad Boys 3.' "

When he made the original film, Bay was a video director looking to break through in Hollywood; now, he oversees massive productions of films like the "Transformers" movies. Back in 1995, Will Smith was slowly overcoming his teen-oriented-rapper stigma as the "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" TV show was winding down and small movies like "Six Degrees of Separation" were earning him decent reviews; nowadays, he is arguably the most bankable movie star in the world.

Some would wonder why outlandish-but-effective detectives Mike Lowery and Marcus Burnett would pop up again now, when the "Bad Boys" talents each have successful careers of their own (Lawrence just opened "Death at a Funeral" this past weekend). According to Martin, however, the time to reunite is now.

"Any time you can get Big Willie to come out and talk about doing a third installment of a hot movie like 'Bad Boys,' you have to take notice," Lawrence explained. "I met with Michael Bay, and he said he's onboard too — so it's real."

Writer Peter Craig is putting together a script for Columbia, and the "Bad Boys" team is ready. "I got Big Willie to come down and see me about the movie. I felt special," Lawrence said of a visit Smith paid to his friend recently to talk about getting the band back together, adding that at this point, the green light is in the hands of the franchise producer. "We're just waiting on Jerry Bruckheimer to let us know when it's really real."

Prs and Cons of: 'The Descent 2'

PROS:

CONTINUATION: I love sequels that pick off right when the previous one ends. This one starts exactly where the first one ends (don't wanna give any spoilers away).

RETURNING CHARACTERS: Some characters from the original return in this movie. Being a fan of the first Descent, this delighted me.

GORE: This movie amped the gore up. Way gorier than the original.

NON-STOP ACTION: Where the first one took a little bit to get things going, this one doesn't wait. The action is pretty much from start to finish. But this also creates a CON.

CONS:

CLAUSTROPHOBIC NO MORE: The first movie is the most claustrophobic movie I have ever seen. The tight squeezes through the tunnels and caves had me wincing at every scene (I'm claustrophobic). It was extremely effective. But the sequel doesnt have any of that. Areas were open and some of them were even lit up (how is that possible if you are underground) and this was a HUGE disappointment for me.

NEW CHARACTERS: As I stated earlier, the action is non-stop. Unfortunately this took away from character development. I didn't give a damn about anyone except the survivor from the original so when the new characters died it had no effect. This movie might've been completely different for the better had they spent a little more time on this.

CREATURES: For some reason, they look different. Can't put my finger on it but something's missing or changed. A shame too because The Descent demons are some of the scariest creatures ever put to film

NO NEIL MARSHALL: I know, I'm sad too. The director of the original Descent is a master in my eyes. Would've loved to see his genius brought to this film.

SCARES: The original film had me jumping out of my skin. The sequel only had me jumping once. A lot of it you see coming. Booooooooooooo!

BOTTOM LINE:
It's not as good as the original and you can tell the sequel lacks Neil Marshall's vision. But it is still a good movie none the less. The Descent is one of the best horror movies ever made and this one is a worthy follow-up but not a classic. The Descent 2 is definitely worth watching and even buying (on blu-ray April 27th).

A remake of The Toxic Avenger is in the works and will be produced by Akiva Goldsman, Richard Saperstein and Charlie Corwin. Original Media has acquired the rights to franchise that includes sequels, an animated TV series and comic books. The company will finance the development of a script.

Michael Herz and Lloyd Kaufman directed the 1984 original, which starred Andree Maranda, Mitchell Cohen, Pat Ryan Jr., Jennifer Baptist, Robert Pritchard, Cindy Manion, Gary Schneider and Mark Torgl.

The film is set in Tromaville, New Jersey - a small American town, terrorized by criminals. Among the residents of Tromaville is Melvin, a nerdy emaciated janitor at the local health club. A gang of thugs devise a cruel hoax that goes horribly wrong as Melvin is cast through a third story window into a vat of hazardous toxic waste. However, an unexpected metamorphosis takes place. As the chemicals take hold of his body, Melvin turns into the Toxic Avenger, doer of good, and brutal mauler of evil.

Deadline New York says "the group intends to turn Toxie into a green superhero for these environmentally conscious times." The remake is expected to be a family friendly PG-13 action comedy.

The Halo Movie Will Happen

It's been a while since we've heard anything about the possible Halo movie, but now comes word from Frank O'Connor, Franchise Development Director, 343 Industries, Microsoft Game Studios, who says that the movie will happen eventually.

O'Connor talked about the possibility at the MI6 Conference in San Francisco last week.

"We're going to make a movie when the time is right," he said. "We own the IP. If we want to make a movie, the scale of all the other stuff that we do changes dramatically. We make tens and tens of millions of dollars on ancillary stuff, toys, apparel, music and publishing. If we do a movie all of that will grow exponentially. We have some numbers if we do a movie, but it changes everything. It also changes our target and age demographic."

The Halo movie almost moved forward with District 9's director Neill Blomkamp and executive producer Peter Jackson back in 2006. Stuart Beattie later wrote a film adaptation of "The Fall of Reach," complete with concept art.

The Pros and Cons of: 'Brooklyn's Finest'

Pros:

Antoine Fuqua: He gets the ability to get "gangsta" and that's exactly what he does best. Somehow this dude can convincingly portray the hood on film unlike any other.

Don Cheadle: The most underrated actor of our generation.

Wesley Snipes: It's good to see Wesley return to his "New Jack" roots. Just don't expect to see Nino Brown (more on that later). Snipes does a good job playing a recently released drug kingpin trying to make sense of a drug world that's moved on without him.

Story: This movie's story is pretty deep. It's almost like 'Crash' set in Brooklyn. But the ending will blow you away, guaranteed.

Cons:

Pacing: For being a crime movie, it's not very fast paced. When things do pick up it's a real treat. But for some reason Fuqua dropped the ball here.

Nino Brown: When the trailers played everyone expected to see Wesley Snipes return in a round about way as his creme de la creme Nino Brown. And ignorantly, so did I. But he doesn't. Matter of fact he's almost the exact opposite. It's disappointing but it's no one's fault but the viewers for assuming.

Ethan Hawke: His character was freakin' annoying from start to finish. In my opinon, the movie is focused too much on his character and not enough on Cheadle's (where the REAL story is).

Richard Gere: You are supposed to care about his character but he's too creepy. You don't feel much remorse for him and you are supposed to. At least I didn't.

BOTTOM LINE:
If you dug Training Day then you will like this movie. Just don't expect Training Day. It's a good story with a great cast that will definitely be worth the 2 hours of your life you spend watching it.

Hey, it's been a long time since I've posted. Just been a little busy.

Transformers 3 has been going very well. We are going to shoot in LA, Chicago, Washington DC, Florida, Texas, Africa, Moscow, and China. On the talent front, we just locked in Frances McDormand and John Malkovich. Both amazing actors I've always wanted to work with. We also just got Ken Jeong, he is the super funny actor stuck in the trunk from “Hangover” and the Doctor from “Knocked Up.”

We start shooting pre-shoots in about one month.

I also was at a Ferrari charity event this week raising money for a hospital being built by Ferrari in Haiti. I announced that night the newest Autobot to join Transformers: the Ferrari 458 Italia.

I also want to thank everyone on this site that donated to the Make -A-Wish charity. We raised $20,000 which I will personally be matching. This is a great charity where they make wishes come true for kids who are very ill. We have had many Kids from Make-A-Wish visit us on our Transformers sets and this time we will be posting video of their visits on Transformers 3.

Dimension Films has given the green light to Scream 4, which will start shooting this spring for a release on April 15, 2011. The third installment of the franchise was released on February 4, 2000.

Wes Craven will direct and Neve Campbell, David Arquette and Courteney Cox Arquette will reprise their roles along with a group of younger actors.

"Scream has been such an integral part of Dimension's history, and I look forward to continuing the franchise," says Dimension Films chief Bob Weinstein, who is also co-chairman of The Weinstein Company.

Craven adds: "I am delighted to accept Bob Weinstein's offer to take the reins on a whole new chapter in Scream history. 'Rec 2' U.S. Theatrical Plans

Jaume Balagueró and Paco Plaza's horror sequel Rec 2 is opening in the U.S. on July 9. Magnolia Pictures has picked the film up for distribution with a limited theatrical release in mind (and a DVD debut to follow).

According to the Laemmle Theaters site, Rec 2 is going to play at the Sunset 5 in Los Angeles for only one week. No word yet on other cities.

Picking up minutes after the events in Rec (available on U.S. DVD from Sony), the sequel takes viewers back into a quarantined tenement where the residents have transformed into murderous maniacs.

'Men in Black 3' or 'The City That Sailed'?

The Pros and Cons of: 'The Crazies'

PROS:

Apocalyptic Theme - So of course I'm gonna dig it.

Timothy Olyphant - I think he's a pretty decent actor and he portrays the small town sheriff role with precision.

Beats the Original - Yeah the original wasn't all that great to begin with but this one trumps it in spades.

Scares - Surprisingly, this movie has it's fair share of jump scenes. Completely caught me off guard.

Cons:

Not Crazy Enough - To me, I was expecting this movie to be very more brutal than what it was. I mean, when you advertise a scene of your movie where a psycho with a shotgun walks onto a baseball diamond you better have the cojones to back it up. It doesn't.

Lack of Gore - You can tell they cut the gore out. I mean when you are watching certain scenes you can see where they edited out the blood. I mean come on you bunch of sissies! It's a freakin' horror movie!

Pacing - Just when the movie gets going, it stops. Then when it gets going again, it stops. Process is repeated throughout the entire movie. It gets really annoying because you want it to be a non-stop thrill ride and at times it is, but those times are short.

Predictable - Too many parts were VERY predictable. The hero comes and saves the day at the nick of time, happens too often. I don't like knowing what's going to happen next. Especially when I've never seen the movie before.

BOTTOM LINE:
I liked The Crazies. Eventhough I was COMPLETELY disappointed by it's pussiness (is that a word?), it's still a very good, suspensful horror movie. Best to wait for the dvd. Let's hope it will be a Director's Cut.

Geoff Boucher of L.A. Times' Hero Complex had a chance to visit Christopher Nolan in the editing suite for his upcoming sci-fi thriller Inception, and of course, he couldn't pass up an opportunity like that without asking about Nolan's plans for his Superman reboot and Batman.

There was a lot of excitement a few months back when Nolan's name was mentioned as the "godfather" of a Superman reboot at Warner Bros., and speaking on the decision for the first time, Nolan told Boucher that his involvement with the Superman franchise came about from them having reached an impasse on what to do with their third Batman film and David Goyer having an idea of what could be done with the Man of Steel:

"He basically told me, 'I have this thought about how you would approach Superman. I immediately got it, loved it and thought: That is a way of approaching the story I've never seen before that makes it incredibly exciting. I wanted to get Emma and I involved in shepherding the project right away and getting it to the studio and getting it going in an exciting way.

As mentioned previously, Nolan would act as a producer for another director, which has yet to be determined as they develop the script. From there, Nolan's involvement may be similar to Peter Jackson's on District 9 as he moves onto the third Batman film. He didn't have a lot more to say about the Superman reboot except that he did have an appreciation for what Singer tried to do in connecting his film to those of Richard Donner:

"A lot of people have approached Superman in a lot of different ways. I only know the way that has worked for us that's what I know how to do."

It's suggested that like his two Batman movies, the Superman story will take place in a world where Superman is the only superhero, so one probably can't expect this Superman to meet Christian Bale's Batman or either character to be involved with a future Justice League movie.

"Each serves to the internal logic of the story. They have nothing to do with each other," Nolan told them.

Eventually, the Nolans and Goyer got over the earlier impasse with a second Batman sequel, and things are certainly moving forward on that third movie. Nolan wouldn't confirm any of the dozens of internet rumors about who might play the villain but he did say:

"Without getting into specifics, the key thing that makes the third film a great possibility for us is that we want to finish our story, and in viewing it as the finishing of a story rather than infinitely blowing up the balloon and expanding the story. We have a great ensemble, that's one of the attractions of doing another film, since we've been having a great time for years."

Collider.com talked to John Cho on Thursday and got updates on A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas, the third installment in the series.

Cho said the plan is to film the next "Harold & Kumar" movie this June for a possible holiday release this year still. They are currently figuring out who will direct the film, that is expected to include Neil Patrick Harris again. The film's storyline picks up a few years after Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay.

There's been talk about a 3D version of Titanic for a while, but now James Cameron has given USA Today an estimated release frame.

"We're targeting spring of 2012 for the release (of a 3D version of 'Titanic'), which is the 100 year anniversary of the sailing of the ship," Cameron said in an interview about 3D technology at theaters and in the home.

He added that Avatar may return to 3D theaters this fall with extra footage.

When asked about when we may see the 3D Blu-ray, Cameron said: "We're not officially announcing it right now but I'm hoping for fall. The wildcard is that we might be re-releasing the movie this fall. It's kind of gotten stomped out (in theaters) because of 'Alice in Wonderland.' The word we're getting back from exhibitors is we probably left a couple of hundred million dollars on the table as a result. The question is the appetite still going to be there after the summer glut of movies. We're going to assess that. We're talking about maybe adding in additional footage and doing something creative."

Avatar has grossed $2.6 billion in theaters worldwide so far.

R.I.P. Corey Haim

Former child actor Corey Haim died early Wednesday, likely the result of an accidental overdose involving prescription drugs, law enforcement sources told The Times.

The 38-year-old actor, who became a teenage heartthrob when he rose to fame in the 1980s for starring in a number of films including "Lucas,""License to Drive" and "The Lost Boys," which became a cult classic.

Haim was taken to Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank after being found unresponsive, reportedly by his mother whom he was staying with as she battled cancer. He was officially pronounced dead at 3 a.m. at the hospital.

An investigation is underway by the Los Angeles County coroner's office.

"It was an apparent overdose,'' Sgt. Frank Albarren of the Los Angeles Police Department's North Hollywood Station told reporters. "Unknown what type of medication."

Haim was known to have battled drug problems but over the past few years he had been trying to make a career comeback, starring in a sequel to "The Lost Boys" in 2008 and an A&E reality show, "The Two Coreys," with longtime friend and costar Corey Feldman. He also was slated to appear in a few films this year.

Very sad news. This guy made some classics. It's just sad to see the way he ended up. In the midst of it all, celebrate his body of work. For example...

'Zoolander 2' Is a Go

About time! Ben Stiller has been making duds lately. Nice to see him return to some REAL comedy.

Last week, it was reported that Ben Stiller is working together with Tropic Thunder and Iron Man 2 writer Justin Theroux on a sequel to Zoolander at Paramount Pictures. Jonah Hill was said to be in negotiations to play the villain.

Speaking to MTV, Stiller confirmed sequel plans. "We are in the process of getting a script written. It's in the early stages, but it's gonna happen."

He added: "We have a new story idea that we feel excited about and we're going to try to go forward. The beginning of the movie is [set]... 10 years later, and Derek & Hansel are literally forgotten. Nobody even knows who they are, so they have to re-invent themselves."

Stiller said that Will Ferrell's Mugatu would be back, if the actor is up for it. "If Will says yes, he definitely has to be a part of it. To me, Mugatu is one of the classic screen villains of all time."

The Pros and Cons of: 'REC 2'

Pros:
The movie takes place right after the first one ends. In my book, that's how you do a TRUE sequel.

Action is non-stop. Where the first one took 30 minutes or so to get started, this one does right out of the gate.

The story gets deeper. We finally find out what's happening to the poor residents of that quarantined building and it ain't pretty.

The acting. Not sure if it was the budget or what but the acting seemed top notch. I don't speak a lick of Spanish and the actors had me convinced that I do.

The demons in the REC films are hands down the scariest in horror. Every time you see one pop up on the screen you want to jump out of your seat and run.

Cons:
Character development. For the first 30 minutes of the movie I had no idea who the hell was who. And rightfully so, because most ended up being fodder, but I still would've liked some emotional attachment to the characters so that when something does happen to them it hits me in the gut.

It might just be me, but the movie didn't make me jump like the first one did. The original had me scared to death where as this one just didn't scare the crap out of me like I wanted. Maybe it's because I knew what to expect. It still had it's effective moments.

BOTTOM LINE:
The REC series is arguably the best in recent horror. The original, in my opinion, is the scariest movie I've ever seen and even though it's not as frightening as the original...the sequel is still scarier than anything you'll see in theaters this year, guaranteed. SEE BOTH REC AND REC 2 ASAP!!!!!

'Red Hill' Trailer

I live revenge flicks and even thought this movie looks like it could be a No Country for Old Men rip-off, I'm still checking it out.

Plot:
An expedition looks for answers to something horrible in the forest, but the forest finds something horrible in them.

The bodies of the remaining citizens are still unaccounted for. Over the years, a quiet cover-up operation managed to weave the story of Friar into the stuff of legends and backwoods fairy tales. The town has slowly repopulated, but the vast wilderness is mostly untracked, with the northern-most stretches off limits to local hunters and loggers. A 'Killer' Point of View

"Killer." It's a simple, direct and effective word that cuts straight to the point, presumably through your guts. It's also the name of a movie coming out courtesy of Hyde Park Entertainment and Parkes/MacDonald Prods., two companies that have teamed up to produce Kenny Golde's horror-minded spec script.

According to Variety, "Killer" focuses on a rogue police investigator who discovers a video left behind by the titular murderer. What follows is an intense cat-and-mouse game where the investigator is always several strides behind his intended target.

Several news outlets, including Shock Till You Drop, are reporting that the big hook of "Killer" — other than the killing, that is — is the fact that the movie is told through the point of view of the police officer as he videotapes his investigation of the crime. Eventually, the story shifts back and forth between the cop's camera and the killer's grotesque video. The intended result is to blur the line between the cop's investigation and the killer's own film, confusing not only the protagonist, but the audience as well.

Based on that premise, "Killer" sounds like it has something of a "Paranormal Activity" and "The Blair Witch Project" vibe, albeit contained within more realistic confines. Actually, scratch that — with so little known about the movie thus far, it's entirely possible that "Killer" is going to take some sort of violent supernatural turn. My hope is that it's more grounded and gritty, something akin to the aforementioned movies combined with "Se7en." That's a movie I'd pay to see.

Die Hard 5?

Bruce Willis is saying it's for sure. After the last one, I'm kind of looking forward to it. Live Free or Die Hard was really good.

Since 1988's "Die Hard," Bruce Willis has suited up as a crime-solving, justice-bringing, people-protecting badass in nearly 20 movies. While the 54-year-old actor begins to make the rounds to promote his latest turn as an onscreen hero in "Cop Out," he's also making plans to return to the franchise that made him a star. MTV News has learned exclusively that Willis expects to shoot "Die Hard 5" in 2011.

"I think we're going to do a 'Die Hard 5' next year," Willis told us.

Though vague chatter about another film in the franchise has cropped up here and there over the last few years — most recently while Willis was promoting "Surrogates" last fall — these recent comments represent the most concrete evidence to date that Willis is committed to reprising his role of John McClane (one of MTV News' greatest movie badasses of all time).

The project appears to be in the early phases, but Willis does have some ideas about the story and who should be tagged to direct. "It's got to go worldwide," the actor said about the potential plotline. "That would be my contribution to it."

His first choice to direct would be the man who last brought McClane to the big screen. "I would hire Len Wiseman right now," Willis said. A vet of two "Underworld" flicks, Wiseman has not helmed a feature since 2007's "Live Free or Die Hard."

While Willis readies himself to return to "Die Hard" territory, he admitted that he much prefers taking a comedic angle on cop films — à la "Cop Out," which also stars Tracy Morgan — than the more serious approach of the "Die Hard" franchise.

"I like so much more making fun of it, taking the piss out of it, not making it a big deal and not making the fact that I've acted in a lot of movies a big deal," he said. "It's all illusion, and it's all bulls---. It's a great job for me to have, but everything else you can set on fire. Making people laugh is the real deal."

The Pros and Cons of: 'Legion'

Pros:
Apocalyptic theme - Everyone knows I'm a sucker for end of the world movies and there are a couple of scenes in this movie that definitely fit into that. Too bad they are few and far between.

Some gory parts - People exploding. Kids and elderly people biting victims. Pretty cool.

Cool fight scene - there is a pretty good fight scene between angels Michael and Gabriel. Since Gabriel's biggest weapon is his wings, kind of makes you wonder why Michael cut them off. Hmmm.

Cons:
Character development - basically zero. You are supposed to care about the people fighting hordes of demons to survive, but you don't.

Weak ass story - It's the end of the world and wayward angel Michael defies God and protects a pregnant woman who is going to give birth to a child who will save mankind. Why her? Why her child? Any other children? Any significance what so ever? We'll never know.

Pacing - Not much happens in this movie other than people being holed up in truck stop. The previews show them fighting off demons and you think ALRIGHT! No. Only a couple of scenes have any actual action to them. There's a lot of filler in this movie. You can tell the writers were running out of ideas.

Ending - Without spoiling it, the ending doesn't make too much sense. It's EXTREMELY lackluster and it leaves many unanswered questions. It just too bad I don't care for the answer.

BOTTOM LINE: Watch The Prophecy starring Christopher Walken. This movie is basically a rip-off of it but The Prophecy's ending credits are better than this entire movie.
